A cushioned seat is designed to accommodate a variety of users, and the larger footplate prevents slippage while exercising. The 8-level magnetic tension control allows for custom adjustments.Recumbent exercise bikes have long been terrific workout accessories, but they’re usually somewhat bulky, making them inconvenient for people with small homes or apartments. Enter the Exerpeutic 400XL recumbent bike, which folds up for easy storage and fits inside a closet, corner, or other compact space. It’s the easiest way to enjoy the benefits of a recumbent workout without dedicating an entire room to your exercise equipment.

Despite the space-saving design, the 400XL is plenty powerful, with a precision-balanced flywheel and a quiet V-belt double-drive transmission system. The bike also includes an eight-level magnetic tension control system so you can find the right resistance for your training goals. It’s easy to monitor your workout progress via the easy-to-read LCD display, which tracks your distance, calories burned, time, speed, scan, and heart rate. Best of all for frequent exercisers, the 400XL’s semi-recumbent design is inviting and comfortable, making it ideal for people who dislike upright-style bikes or who are recovering from injury. Add in a large seat cushion and backrest and you have a great bike for riders of any size and body type.

Other details include extendable leg stabilizers; a hand pulse sensor for reading your heart rate; a three-piece, high-torque crank system that provides a smooth, consistent pedaling motion; large pedals with safety straps; and transport wheels for mobility.

One heck of a quiet workout! As an apartment dweller I was so pleased to find this (thanks Sky Mall magazine for the idea, but bigger thanks to Amazon for having it at a great price with super saver shipping too). To be honest I was skeptical as to how sturdy this product would be and as to how much of a workout it would give. I have not been disappointed at all and in fact more pleased than I thought I’d be.It was easy to assemble, but must say that the instruction manual gives WAY too many diagrams of…

The Exercise Begins with Assembly! 🙂 Read A LOT of reviews before going with this. Influenced by its ratings, size, price, semi-recumbent and ability to fold up for storage.Heavy box. Be home or have a way to make sure you don’t have to go somewhere and drag the package into your place (2nd floor apartment and I would have had a problem there-box even says “team lift”).It’s been put together (more later) for about 24 hours. Did 3 miles before bed last night. Totally quiet and smooth. Seat is…

Tall people please read; also use with standing desk This is a pretty good recumbent exercise bike, but…It is advertised for people up to 6′ 2″. That is my height and it is much too small for me. FYI I have a 32″ inseam. Beware if you are over 6′.Like other reviewers’ bikes, mine came with a damaged decorative plastic cowl. In fact, the flywheel initially rubbed noisily against the transparent part. Thanks to other reviewers who mentioned this could be adjusted by hand. After doing adjusting the transparent cowl, the…
