Pretty enough to keep in the living room! We first saw this at a nearby ski shop – The salesmen balanced on it while we tried on boots. It is very nicely made and finished – looks like a quality piece of furniture. The adjustment mechanism is brilliant, and the rounded shape of the bottom means that is truly challenging as a balance board (cheaper boards appear to have a more squared-off shape that would be less of a challenge). Left ring dents in my hardwood floor! The old solid plastic ball design was perfect, but now they put a rubber tip on the ball, which compresses leaving a sharp transition edge that bears all the weight.My historic hardwood floor got nasty ring dents before i noticed what was happening.Very disappointed!

Better balance after a few nightly sessions. I was noticing a bit of a balance issue as I have aged. Weird wobbles at times to my getting up and walking at intermittent times. I’m 56, but generally very fit. All this was pretty humbling/depressing, so I researched exercises, and bought this on recommendation. It seems to do the trick by strengthening hip and ankle reaction to the wobbling of the board. Whatever it is, it seems to be working well. The intermittent problem has vanished, and I feel much more stable like I did before…maybe…
