Do not use a 6 foot Olympic bar! Most important thing people should know, and I hope this helps you not run into my problem. A 6 FOOT OLYMPIC BAR DOES NOT FIT. In the Q&A section someone ask if this fits and two people said yes it does. That is incorrect! Now I am returning my 6′ Olympic bar and ordering a 7′ Olympic bar. When I placed the 6′ bar on it I had to literally squeeze the arms of the bench together to get it to fit. That does not count as fitting! Not for a powerlifter, but perfect for those of who are mortals. The first thing I will say is that this bench is not for someone who is really into lifting and will be doing so with a lot of weight. I am in my 40’s so my strength gets less with every passing year so this bench is fine for me. When I was in my 20’s I would of exceeded the weight limits for this.While you can do a variety of exercises on this bench, make sure you get the squat/bench press to go along with it.
