Don’t waste your money I upped my budget after my last elliptical broke, and did a lot of research to find one that would work for me. This one has a lot of pros: digital programming (only used once, I prefer just doing my own thing), holds my weight, it’s steady and sturdy, but not too heavy to move if need be. My biggest drawback is the noise. It’s actually pretty quiet on it’s own, but within a week it started squeaking. I take everything apart, tighten all the bolts, and it is fine for about a week, then starts…

For the money its “okay” I have had the Xterra Elliptical Trainer (22 lb) for a month now. And sure enough just as some of the other customers said it start squeaking and got worse as I increased the workout programs to a higher resistance of effort. I finally determined that the problem seems to be the Brake contacting the Fly Wheel at a higher resistance. Its not a steady screech but only seems to complain on the left foot downward stroke suggesting the fly wheel is not as round as it should be causing the brake to…

You get what you pay for… This is a very inexpensive elliptical but, buyer be warned — kind of difficult to put together… the pieces don’t exactly match the instructions and my call to the Arkansas distributor was met with “we don’t write the manual, just distribute the product.” The customer service told me to use a butter knife to pry apart so the pieces would now match the instructions and could be assembled properly.
